All the performance of our standard FRP gelcoat panels, engineered to meet FDA food-contact compliance standards — independently tested and verified.
Product Overview
FRP food-grade gelcoat panel construction diagram showing FDA-compliant gelcoat layer
SKD Food-Grade Gelcoat Panels are built on the same proven FRP gelcoat platform as our standard panels — the same skin thickness range, panel widths, weather resistance, and long-term durability — engineered to meet FDA food-contact compliance standards, independently tested and verified through third-party laboratory testing.
This is a dedicated SKU within our Gelcoat Panels line, allowing buyers to specify food-grade compliance only where the application requires it, without changing any other panel specification.

Food-grade compliance is only one part of the picture. Every SKD Food-Grade Gelcoat Panel also delivers the weather resistance, UV stability, and long-term durability that define our standard gelcoat panel line — backed by ASTM and SGS certification, and raw materials sourced from globally recognized suppliers including Saint-Gobain, DuPont, and DSM.
FDA compliance for this product line has been independently verified through third-party testing, giving buyers a documented basis for food-contact and food-environment specification decisions.

Where It's Used

A: FDA compliance means the panel’s surface material has been independently tested for suitability in food-contact environments. SKD Food-Grade Gelcoat Panels are widely used for walls, ceilings, and structural surfaces throughout food processing and food service facilities. For applications involving direct product contact (such as prep surfaces), contact our team to confirm the right specification for your project.
A: Food-Grade and Antibacterial are currently separate dedicated SKUs. If your project requires both food-contact compliance and antibacterial surface protection, contact our team to discuss your specific requirements.
A: FDA compliance is a recognized U.S. food-contact standard. For region-specific requirements or additional certifications needed in your target market, contact our team to discuss documentation options.
A: Yes. The FRP gelcoat surface is engineered for durability and easy cleaning, consistent with the demands of food processing and food-contact environments that require frequent washdown.
A: No. Food-Grade and Antibacterial panels are two separate dedicated SKUs addressing different needs — food-grade panels are engineered to meet FDA food-contact compliance, while antibacterial panels are engineered with tested antibacterial surface protection. They can be discussed together for projects requiring both.
