Independently tested antibacterial surface protection for commercial kitchen walls and ceilings — seamless, easy to sanitize, and built for daily washdown.
Kitchen walls take a beating that most wall materials were never designed for: oil splatter, steam, condensation, scalding washdowns and chemical sanitizers — day after day. Painted drywall stains and absorbs, tiles trap grease in the grout lines, and stainless sheeting shows every fingerprint. SKD Antibacterial Gelcoat Panels replace those failure points with a single molded FRP panel — a fiberglass-reinforced polyester substrate capped by a smooth gelcoat layer whose antibacterial performance has been independently verified by third-party laboratory testing.
Because the gelcoat is factory-applied and the surface is non-porous, the panel presents no seams, textures, or absorbent edges at the point of manufacture. It arrives ready to install and to withstand the washdown, steam, and chemical disinfection cycles typical of commercial food environments.

Two integrated layers make up the panel:

| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Skin Thickness | 0.8–5.0mm |
| Max Width | 3,400mm |
| Roll Length | Up to 120m |
| Operating Temperature | -40°C to +140°C |
| UV Resistance | ≥99% |
| Warranty | 10–15 years |
| Resin | Unsaturated polyester resin |
| Color | RAL color matching available |
| Surface Finish | Glossy / Wood Grain / Trefoil / Bubble Texture / Pearl / Leather |
| Antibacterial Protection | Third-party tested and verified |
The antibacterial performance is documented through third-party laboratory testing — a verifiable basis for hygiene-critical specifications, rather than a self-declared claim.
No Texture, No Seams, No Harbors
The non-porous gelcoat surface leaves nothing for grease or microorganisms to cling to — wipe it down and it is clean, with no grout lines or coatings to trap residue.
Easy Washdown
A smooth, non-absorbent face that rinses clean quickly — less downtime spent scrubbing, and fewer places for odors to build up.
Resists Oil, Steam and Chemical Sanitizers
The gelcoat surface tolerates the hot water, steam, degreasers and sanitizers commonly used in commercial kitchens without staining, softening, or surface degradation.
The fiberglass-reinforced substrate keeps panels flat and true on walls and ceilings, so joints stay tight and the surface remains easy to seal during installation.
Panel thickness, width, and weathering performance are identical to our standard gelcoat line — antibacterial protection is specified only where your protocol requires it.

A: For surfaces that touch food directly, we recommend our separate Food-Grade Gelcoat Panels line, which is engineered to FDA food-contact compliance standards. The Antibacterial line is designed for walls, ceilings and other environmental surfaces — the two lines are dedicated SKUs, and many kitchen projects specify both.
A: Yes. The non-porous gelcoat surface handles hot water, steam washdowns and commercial degreasers without staining or degrading, and the panel operates continuously from -40°C to +140°C.
A: No. Antibacterial performance is a property of the gelcoat surface itself, not a disposable coating, and the panel carries a 10–15 year warranty. For project-specific documentation of the third-party test results, contact our team.
A: Panels can be butt-jointed and sealed with a moisture-resistant sealant at installation, creating a continuous, easy-to-wipe surface. Panel edges are consistent and true, which keeps joint lines tight and sealable.
A: Yes. The same panel is rated for -40°C to +140°C, so it can line a walk-in chiller and the wall beside a fryer in the same project without changing specification.
